简介： Due to technical and economical changes at the electricity market the operation of Hydropower Plants in Austria and Europe has changed as well. On the one hand the operators are more and more forced to operate their hydraulic machines at conditions which are far away from optimum just to earn enough money (= economical challenge). On the other side the transition in electricity production from primary sources towards renewable energy sources needs faster control mechanisms and load changes which again applies on the lifetime of the machine parts (=technical challenges). Within these challenges we try to find the effects onto the old machines and how it reduces for example the technical lifetime of the main parts. Safety is always first! Another idea to solve this problem is the decentralized power production and load control. Possible future trends and solutions will be mentioned.
